By downloading or using Be Gentle, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of Be Gentle, including the iOS app and Apple Watch companion.

The service

Be Gentle provides a 90-day daily kindness practice, including daily challenges, a witness observation practice, breathing exercises, and weekly reflective letters. The app is available on iPhone and Apple Watch.

No account

Be Gentle has no accounts and no sign-in. Your data stays on your device, so keeping your device secure and backed up is up to you. See our Privacy Policy.

Your content

Content you create within Be Gentle — observation notes, journal entries, witness photos — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over your content. It is stored on your device and shown back to you within the app; we do not receive it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Be Gentle for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the app.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network associated with Be Gentle.

Intellectual property

Be Gentle and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Be Gentle and its creators. The Be Gentle name, logo, and all related marks are our trademarks. You may not use them without express written permission.

Disclaimer

Be Gentle is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific expectations. Be Gentle is not a medical, therapeutic, or mental health application and should not be treated as such.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Be Gentle and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Termination

You can stop using Be Gentle at any time by deleting the app. Because the app runs entirely on your device, we do not hold an account that could be suspended; if you violate these terms, you may no longer use the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
